Nancy's Home Cooking for Dogs

Because I love new customers, each first order will receive a free meal from Nancy’s Homecooking for Dogs! This is home cooked goodness for your best friend. Are you tired of reading about this pet food company or that accidentally poisoning pets? Do you hate that the food you feed your dogs is laced with pesticides and antibiotics and other strange things? I make wholesome home made dog food, based on recipes that I’ve culled from the internet, and from experimenting in my own kitchen. I do not add fillers or supplements, the meals are meat-based and contain brown rice, barley or sweet potatoes, as well as vegetables (green beans, peas, carrots, etc.). I promise that if it is in the recipe, I will tell you. I DO NOT claim that the meals are nutritionally complete. I use these meals as additions to my dog’s regular diet of the dry dog food recommended by my vet., and feed them about a cup of the home made food every day (my dogs weigh 35-42 pounds—so adjust accordingly). Eddy and Lucy LOVE their diet. They are each 8 years old, and are energetic and healthy with beautiful coats. Well, they have always been energetic and healthy, but their fur has really become gorgeous since I began cooking at home for them! Enjoy good home cooking for your good friends, and be sure to tell me what they like and share suggestions with me. I have put two cups of food in each bag, and I freeze the bags. This is enough for my two medium sized dogs (35-42 pounds) for one meal. The bags can be stored in the refrigerator for up to three days, or you can keep them in the freezer and thaw them as you need them. The food I cook for the dogs is usually purchased at Kroger. I buy pot roasts, whole chickens, five pound rolls of ground beef, and sometimes organ meats like chicken livers. I use canned vegetables, often including the water in which the vegetables have been canned. I usually cook the meat in the pressure cooker (unless it is ground meat or liver which cooks fairly quickly). I do not process the food into paste, so your dog will see and taste the individual components of the meal.
