Opening Bell

This post expired on March 10, 2023.

Greetings Conway Locally Grown Community,

I hope everyone got some of that lovely spring rain last night and early this morning. Not officially Spring yet I suppose, but it sure sounded like spring rain with the frogs “peeping” away loudly all through the storm. I bet all our farmers will be frantically stuffing seeds in the ground very soon if they aren’t already! All of my farm-work experience has been in raising animals, not veggies, so I don’t know the excitement a gardener must feel this time of year. But I do know the excitement of watching your pastures swell with green and your animals grow fat, and I’m looking forward to it more than ever this year after last summer’s drought.

The market is now open. Go to the market webpage to place your order, single-click the checkout button when you are finished, and you should receive a confirmation email when your order is placed. Please check out the messages below from two of our producers.

Happy Spring planting everybody!

Market Director

Message from Kenny at Drewry Farm and Orchards:
We are planning an “Open House” for April 13th, from 10am till 2pm, Kenny will show you around our small Farm just as he would for some of the educational tours we have throughout the year, tour the green house, Honey Bee yard and orchards, and see where our produce is planted, we can answer questions, and show you how to care for fruit trees, and plants, our farm store kitchen will be open with free samples of baked goods and other goodies, some plants, trees and other items will be available for sale. We look forward to visiting with you and have found it true that once a visitor always a friend !
Please RSVP to help us get a count on how many to expect. And please watch our Face Book Page for updates or need for rescheduling due to inclement weather.
Thank You !
