Greetings Conway Locally Grown Community,
Well we’ve seen the coldest March ever, the coldest April ever, what’s next….snow in May? Oh, wait, that just happened. It was a frantic week at Falling Sky Farm trying to keep animals dry and warm enough. For the first time ever, we were forced to take chicks off the pasture and bring them back to their warm dry brooder house for safekeeping. I’m sure the rest of our farmers are facing challenges as well and will probably have to tweak their normal planting dates this spring.
We’ve got close to thirty people signed up for the farm tour next Saturday the 11th, and there’s still room for more, but this week’s market is your last chance. Get your tickets before the market closes Tuesday, and don’t let the weather scare you – it will be in the mid seventies next weekend!
