Dear Conway Locally Grown Community,

This important message from Sandra at La Lucha Space:

Hello friends and neighbors,
As you may have heard we have been working very hard to get things ready to open a space in Downtown Conway that will serve coffee and feature products from local farmers, artists and crafters. This place will be called The Locals and we need your support to make it happen. There are many ways to participate and together we can create a sustainable platform that makes it easy to support local entrepreneurs and connect with our community. So…what can you do?
Make a donation by following this link
Sign-up for the Meeting of the Minds, an event on Saturday September 21st, to get involved in shaping The Locals experience and programs.
Tell your friends! and if you want to have space to sell your creations or products at The Locals once we open, become a member.
Think Global. Act Local. Thanks so much for you support

This important message from Nancy Allen at Faulkner County Library:

The Faulkner County Seed Library (FCSL) is just one of over 100 similar libraries in the U.S., and the first in Arkansas. FCSL is committed to food cultivation for sustainable living. Our goal is to preserve heirloom and open pollinated seed varieties important to maintaining biodiversity and preserving the culture and history of growers in Arkansas.

There is plenty that you, as a producer of local food and a consumer and/or gardener can do to help. First, come visit us, check us out, and take home some seeds to plant and rear so that you can save some seeds too. Then, SAVE YOUR SEEDS! Bring some of your saved seeds back to the seed library so that others can experience the goodness of heirloom and open pollinated seed varieties in their own gardens and at their tables.
This project is the result of collaboration between the Faulkner County Library, CAAH!, and the UCA Anthropology Department.

For more information, call the library at 501-327-7482 or email Nancy@fcl.org, facebook and twitter. Or like us on facebook at Faulkner County Seed Library for more event information.

The market is now open for ordering. Please make sure to hit the checkout button. You will receive a confirmation email once you place your order.

Have a wonderful week,
Gabe Levin
