Opening Bell: Cucumbers, Sweet Potatoes, Okra, Honey!

Good afternoon!
If I had to title this weblog entry, it would be “Squash!”. We have an abundance of amazing summer squash and winter squash right now. Yellow squash and zucchini squash from Strack farm, and the best looking butternut squash I’ve ever seen, from Drewry Orchards. They have a few other kinds of squash, as well as pumpkins which are… Squash.

Check out the local pork products available from Bar C farm, or the beef products available from Ratchford farm, or chicken products available from Farm girl meats and Bradford Valley farm. We’ve got it all going on right here in one place! And don’t forget…squash!

Do you often find yourself awash in over 600 items available each week? Well, just start with a basic weekly must-have list. Shiitake mushrooms, squash, bacon, coffee, ground beef, chicken, butternut, honey. Then look around and add other desired items. Try to have locally grown ingredients at every meal. Eat fresh!

We’ve been having a lot of excellent items on the extra table lately. Earlier shoppers get the best selection. We are normally ready for customers to start arriving around 3 PM if you happen to be out and in the area. Just text me to see if we’re ready.

Be sure to SEARCH for your favorite items using the search field. Four instance, type in the word “sale”and see what pops up. We have over 600 items available now!

Most items are listed by 6pm Sunday, but check back again before the market closes Tuesday night to see if any other items are ready to be harvested for you!

And save your eggshells throughout the week for the laying hens! :-)

The market is now OPEN for orders. Click here to start shopping:
