Opening Bell: Shiitake Mushrooms, Honey, Eggs, Sausage!

Restaurants are closed. This puts a great financial strain on these small businesses, and it keeps up from enjoying them on occasion. We have the ability to support one such business: Julie’s Sweet Shoppe. I spoke with Julie on Friday when she personally delivered her ordered items to CLG. She has listed the following specials which will help the bakery, and give us some variety in our diets.
Chocolate Chunk Cookies $6/dozen
Mini butter bread loaf $1.50 each
Glazed donuts $7.50/dozen (my favorite)

Strack Farm has asparagus, kale, onions and lettuce. The onions freeze well if chopped.

Lots of farm fresh eggs available!

Our market will continue to meet in the parish hall every Friday. Each person can make their own decisions on which activities to restrict and which to continue. Your order can be brought to your car in the parking lot by one of our dedicated volunteers. Just call or text me when you are parked, and we will bring your order to your vehicle. 501-339-1039.

Mark your calendar: the 3rd annual plant sale at Bell Urban Farm on Tyler street. It will be held on Saturday, April 18, from 9 AM until 3 PM. Hundreds of varieties of flowers, herbs, and vegetable plants will be available.

We are normally ready for customers to start arriving around 3 PM if you happen to be out and in the area. Just text me to see if we’re ready.

Be sure to SEARCH for your favorite items using the search field. Four instance, type in the word “sale” and see what pops up. We have almost 500 items available now!

Most items are listed by 6pm Sunday, but check back again before the market closes Tuesday night to see if any other items are ready to be harvested for you! Eat fresh! Eat local! Eat for better health!
