Opening Bell: Chicken, Wickles, Tomatoes, Jelly!


Hello friends!
People always ask me: they say, “Angus, what’s the secret to life?” Of course that leads to some great conversations. I still haven’t figured it all out yet, but I know one overreaching theme is spice. Don’t let life be too bland. This week I encourage you to try a spice that is often overlooked in the kitchen: rosemary. Look up on the Internet and find a recipe containing rosemary: Baked rosemary chicken, roast pork with rosemary and garlic, etc. Make that recipe with rosemary and I think you’ll find a new appreciation for this wonderful Mediterranean herb.

A recent poll found that people want more wickles. This may be due to the fact that they are amazing and life-changing. On Saturday morning I made 24 pints of my spicy dill pickles using those super crunchy pickling cucumbers from Strack farm. They will be in the refrigerator by the extras table at pick up this Friday. Come early to avoid the disappointment of going home wickle-less.

Got meat? Yes we do! Chicken from Bradford Valley Farm and Shaky K Farm, pork from Bar C Ranch, and beef from Ratchford Farm. Raising local meat animals without chemicals is a lot of work over many months and well-worth the price.

In accordance with the current guidelines, we will not have more than 10 people in the lobby at any time. We have four volunteers who can bring your order to your car if you prefer, just call or text 501-339-1039.
