Opening Bell: New Grower! Coneflowers, Honey, Pork, Sausage!

Hello friends!

We are so excited to welcome Sandra as the head baker at Hickory House. She has worked with Conway locally grown for over 10 years and is now expanding her work with our market. Check out her information under the growers tab. I have tested the bread she bakes in the wood fired earthen oven in her backyard and it is really, really good. Shawn did a great job crafting the oven from local material. Limited quantities so order early!

Here’s a good opportunity for you to get some larger plants for your landscape. I will be digging and dividing some of my three-year-old coneflowers. These are very low-maintenance and great along a fence or standalone, or grouped with yellow flowers, in my opinion. Planted in your garden now, they will overwinter and produce strong plants in the spring. Pollinators love the flowers, and birds enjoy the seeds later on. Please call or text me how many of these hardy plants you want at two dollars each.

Be sure to SEARCH for your favorite items using the search field. For instance, type in the word “sale” or “pork” and see what pops up. We have almost 500 items available now!

Most items are listed by 6pm Sunday, but check back again before the market closes Tuesday night to see if any other items are ready to be harvested for you! Eat fresh! Eat local! Eat for better health!

And save your eggshells throughout the week for the laying hens! :-)
