Very Sad News

Hello all,

It is with a very heavy heart that I have to let you know that our beloved friend, Steve Lunk, passed away on Tuesday October 4th, from cancer complications.

For those of you who knew him, you will understand how devastating a loss this is for our community. No amount of words can express how much he enriched our lives and how deeply he will be missed.

If you didn’t have the privilege of knowing him, Steve was CLG’s heart and soul. Every Friday for over eight years, without fail, he would be at the market, greeting us with a big smile and a genuine desire to get to know us.

Steve built our community up to what it is today, he was always ready to lend a hand, and went out of his way to make people feel special and cared for.

Steve asked not to have a service. He just asked for us to remember him. There will be a gathering in celebration of his life, details forthcoming.

If you wish to send anything to his wife Carissa, and his kids, Adam and Amanda, you may bring it to the market on Friday and I will get it to them.

Please keep Steve’s family in your thoughts, but most of all, go out there, be kind to every single person you meet, be thrifty, and enjoy every minute of life—that’s what Steve taught us to do.

With love,
Sandra
