Who else is loving this weather? I know the vegetable plants are enjoying a break from the intense sun and heat also. We are encouraged to see so many members buying in bulk to can and preserve all this summertime goodness.
We are what we eat, and aren’t you the best? Then eat the best! Eat local.

There will be FIGS for snacking at the manager table today! Eat a few while you check out. This is a pickup reminder for those of you who ordered this week. Thank you for your order! You can pick up your order from 3:30 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. today at St. Peter’s Episcopal Church at 925 Mitchell Street in Conway.
Usually our awesome volunteers have the market ready for customers to pick up before 4pm. If you are out and about and want to know if we are ready, just text me to see: 501-339-1039.
If something comes up that you cannot personally pick up your order today, please contact someone to pick up for you.
Remember to bring your EGGSHELLS, glass jars for recycling, egg cartons, and bags for ordered items. Reduce, reuse, recycle! See you this afternoon.

Opening Bell: Lettuce, Honey, Peppers, Flowers!
Good afternoon!
Despite this summer heat, our Growers have managed to list some wonderful, locally grown produce this week. Take a look at over 500 items available now.
Have you always wanted to try canning? If so, now is a good time to try your hand at making pickles, jellies, or even pickled okra. Lots of easy and delicious recipes are available online. You can do it!
Here’s a unique opportunity: Do you know of someone, maybe a young couple, who is looking for some land so they can be homesteaders and produce some of their own food? We have a house that would be great for them. It’s a 4 bedroom, 2 bathroom ranch house on 1.8 acres on Acklin Gap Road, just 3 miles north of Conway. There are already some producing fruit and pecan trees there, and a well for the garden. If interested, please text Steve at 501-339-1039.

Opening Bell: Okra, Jelly, Cucumbers, Eggs!
Good afternoon!
It’s okra time! Get some of this summertime favorite and try it in a new recipe. If you have a dehydrator, I suggest making okra chips. Like potato chips, they’re light and crispy. Just cut 1/2 inch slices, sprinkle with Beaverfork Blend, and put them in the dehydrator overnight.

Be sure to get some grilling meat from Bar C Farm. They have andouille and Italian sausage on sale for $5 and they are both delicious!
