This grower has a photo album.
Since the start of 2007, The Twisted Purl has been making hand painted yarn, spinning and felting fibers, roving, and hand spun yarn.
Located in Conway, Arkansas, Cyndi Minister hand paints animal fibers including wool and alpaca and then spins the fiber into yarn using a spinning wheel. The end product is a beautifully unique skein of yarn. Each piece is individually made. Custom orders are happily accepted, in any quantity needed for any project.
Cyndi Minister was professionally trained in the blending and use of dyes by a company in Massachusetts. She can reproduce any color desired. The dye is set by steam for the longest lasting color possible.
Hand painting fiber and yarn is a unique process where the dye is painted directly onto the fiber using sponge paint brushes. The painter has much more control over the end product. Self striping yarn, semi-solids, and variegated yarns can be made to order.
The Twisted Purl also produces hand felted soap, hand weaved scarves (made with The Twisted Purl yarn) and painted spinning fibers.
