We will only be running a single pick-up location this week. We hope to try the Hendrix drop again the first week of April.

This is a reminder to those of you that placed orders this week that you can pick up your order at:

Saint Peter’s Episcopal Church at 925 Mitchell Street. We’ll be using their Parish Hall, which is located at the corner of Prince Street and Mitchell Street. Saint Peter’s is just across the street from East Conway High. The portion of Prince Street that goes through the middle of the school campus is closed until 4PM on school days. You can park in the church’s parking lot or park across Mitchell Street at East Conway High. The church’s main lobby is locked on Fridays, so if you park in the church’s parking lot, you’ll have to walk around the building to get to the Parish Hall. Don’t hesitate to call Andrea at 870-504-0940 if you have any trouble finding the location.

Market Reminder and Update

Happy March! Spring and all its bounty is just around the corner.

I’d like to pass along an update from the Huthchins Family. The family is very thankful for the donations and has used them to purchase a new oven. Patricia hopes to be up and baking again by the next market week. Good work CLG Members!

Also, we are in need of market volunteers. If you’d like to be put on our volunteer list, just let me know. Each time you volunteer you receive a $20 credit to you CLG Account.

We are trying something a little new this week. We have added a second pick-up location at the Hendrix College Student Life Center for Hendrix students and faculty. The only change you should notice is that when you go to confirm your order, you will be prompted to select a pick-up location. If you are not a Hendrix student or faculty member, please select the St. Peter’s Pick-up.

Ratchford Farms is offering 5 BEEF Strip Steak, total weight 3.50 lbs, for $35.95.

From ABC Nursery: Medicinal Plants: Arnica, Black Ginger, Valerian, and Betony. Fruit trees: 3-in-one Cold Hardy Peach tree and 3-in-one Constant Harvest Pluot tree. Culinary herbs: Oregano, 4" Sugar leaf plant, and Perennial Marjoram.

In other news.
I want to thank all of you who made donations last week. We raised $115 for the food pantry and $660 for the Hutchins Family. Thank you for your generosity.

The Market Is Open & Other News

Good Evening-

First off, I’d like to pass along some sad news. Last week the Hutchins family of Shamrock and Thistle Farm lost their house in a fire. It was a complete loss. They do have insurance but it will take some time for that to kick in. I did add an item that will allow CLG customers to make donations, which will be passed along to Hutchins family at the end of the week. Just click the "Donate to the Hutchins family. Needless to say, the market will be without Patricia’s wonderful breads and scones for the foreseeable future.

In other news, we are working on a set of guidelines and questionnaires for our market and would like your input. Here is a link to the the CLG Pledge which describes the markets core values and the criteria we use to select our farmers. We are also working on a set of Producer Questionnaires that each farm will complete and we will post links to completed questionnaires on each farmer’s profile. We’d like your feedback on the CLG Pledge and any questions that you think would be appropriate for the questionnaires. We hope to have the pledge and questionnaires in place by March 1st.

Now to the food. It is the middle of February and we still have a nice selection of products. Lots of greens, eggs, breads, meats, and cheeses. Ratchford farms is offering a special this week on ground beef. If you have never tried Ratchford Farms Beef before now is your chance. This is only for the people that have never tried their Beef products before.
