Pick-up Reminder
Just wanted to remind everyone that placed orders this week that tomorrow is the day (between 4 and 6). Please make a note.
Also, I have placed an updated menu for the October 19th Conway Locally Grown Dinner on the home page, conway.locallygrown.net
The meal will cost $30/person. All of the funds will go towards paying the farmers and renting out Pia’s. We want to use this dinner as a chance to build relationships between you and the farmers as we go into the off-season. We will need 60 attendees to break even on this dinner. You can email me to make your reservation or just make it with me tomorrow.
Hope you have a wonderful evening,
Cody
Market Reminder
We are off to a great Market Week! Just wanted to remind you all that the Market closes tomorrow @ 8:00 PM and that we did list some bone-in chicken breasts and legs.
Have a great evening,
Cody
Market Open
Hi everyone-
The Market is open for ordering. We have lots of delicious, nutritious, locally raised items available this week. We are working hard to get to where Conway Locally Grown will be the place where you do most of your grocery shopping.
Here are some of this weeks highlights:
* We do have Raw Milk Cheeses from Honeysuckle Lane Cheese. * Ratchford Farms is now offering Buffalo Jalapeno and Cheese Bratwurst. Yum! * Rattles Garden has a few dozen eggs and is offering a few Strings of Cayenne Pepper. * Cedar Rock Acres is offering some really nice jellies. * Providence Farm is offering tasty Peach-Vanilla Syrup(sweetened with sugar). It goes perfect with vanilla ice cream. * If you haven’t tried one of Petit Jean Farm’s Sampler of Variety Packs, I suggest you do so. You’ll be in for a real treat. * We at Falling Sky Farm should have plenty of eggs and chickens this week, we are going to have breast meat and legs available a little later in this week (I’ll send out an email when we list them on Monday Night), and don’t forget to order your Thanksgiving Turkey, availability is starting to get limited. In other news, we are going to have our first Conway Locally Grown Dinner on Sunday October 19th at Pia’s on Front Street from 5:30 to 8:00. I’d like as many of you to come as possible but we’d also like you to recruit a friend or two who has yet to try Conway Locally Grown. You’ll get a chance to meet and chat with the farmers and will get to enjoy some really great food. The dinner will cost b/t $25 and $30 per person and seating is limited to 60 people. To reserve your spot, please email me at hopkins.cody@gmail.com. Please let me know which entree you would prefer in the email. Here is the menu:
Appetizers
* Antipasta Sampler featuring Buffalo summer sausage, marinated vegetables, a variety of cheeses and focaccia breads.
Salad and Soup
* Tossed mixed greens, vegetables and your choice of Lemon basil or Creamy Italian dressing
* Butternut Squash Soup with Roasted Pepper Puree
Entrees
* Vegetarian Lasagna featuring spinach and mushrooms and cheese
* Chicken Cacciatore with organic pasta
* Lamb and Beef Cannelloni with a white herb sauce
Dessert
* Blueberry Peach Cream Tart with peach flavored syrup glaze

Have a great evening and please let me know asap if you have any trouble ordering,
Cody

Market is open!
The market is now open for ordering, pick-up is this Friday from 4:30-6pm. Due to the wild weather Armstead farm may have less or more available than is currently listed as they assess over the next day or two. I’ll try to keep any changes up to date.
There are sweet potatos this week, and spaghetti squash available. Be sure to check out the jams and jellies from Cedar Rock Acres as well!
Hope you all weathered the storm safely. It was pretty crazy!
Happy shopping,
Andrea (Cody will be back on Thursday)

Last Minute Addition
I’m excited to inform you that Honeysuckle Lane Cheese out of Rosebud has signed up for our market. They offer raw milk cheddar, white cheddar, colby, and jalapeno cheddar cheeses. We don’t usually do this, but any of you who’d like to place an order for some of their cheese, can do so by emailing me a hopkins.cody@gmail.com by tomorrow at 7PM. Those four cheeses are sold via 1-lb ($8.00) and 1/2-lb ($4.00) packages. You can read their profile on the Grower’s Page. If you would like some cheese for Friday, just email me with the type of cheese and quanity.
Thanks,
Cody
PS. If there are any of you out there who would like to stop receiving emails from Conway Locally Grown, just let me know and I’ll take you off of our list.
