Dear Conway Locally Grown Community,

Please see Patricia Hutchins’ important message below regarding gluten and Shamrock and Thistle’s baked goods.

“I wanted to clear up any confusion over Shamrock and Thistle’s baked goods as to what is gluten free and what is not. We sell three types of products:

1. Gluten Free. These have GF in the title and they are made with 100% gluten free ingredients. I make my own baking mix. All gluten free products are baked and bagged seperately from those containing gluten.

2. Spelt. Spelt is a an older variety of wheat that has a much lower gluten content than modern wheat. Some people with gluten intolerance can eat spelt. It is not recommended for those with celiac or serious wheat allergies.

3. Other baked goods like our bread. This is made with normal unbleached wheat flour and spelt and sometimes other grains like oats. This has the most gluten in it and is only for people with no wheat issues."
