Opening Bell: Honey, Potatoes, Okra, Squash!

Good afternoon!

It sure was nice to get 3 inches of much needed rain on Saturday! Now watch out for the heat Monday and Tuesday. We are starting to see some fall crops ready for harvest. The extras table will have lots of goodies so come early on Friday.

School starts back this week, and that means many folks will be getting back into the school routine. Summer break was fun with lots of travel and vacations, but now it’s time to get back in the habit of preparing locally grown meals a few days a week. So much nutritious food is being grown right here!

Strack Farm has just listed potatoes, okra, squash, and more.

Tammy Sue will have her items listed this week and next, but then will be unlisted until fall as she will be traveling with trade shows. Stock up on her wonderful soaps, etc.

At Cedar Rock Ridge I’ve been picking lots of figs every day for several weeks. These go straight to Maria so she can make her delicious fig preserves! If you haven’t tried some, you should. Tastes great on corn muffins, or on French toast with cream cheese. Figs!

Be sure to SEARCH for your favorite items using the search field. We have over 575 items available now!

Most items are listed by 6pm Sunday, but check back again before the market closes Tuesday night to see if any other items are ready to be harvested for you! Eat fresh! Eat local! Eat for better health!

And save your eggshells throughout the week for the laying hens! :-)

The market is now OPEN for orders. Click here to start shopping:
