Good afternoon,
How about these cool, crisp morning lately!!! Fall must be right around the corner. And that means it’s time to stock up on summer crops while you can in preparation for winter. This morning I sliced and dehydrated 5 pounds of jalapeños. Drop them in hot water for 30 minutes and use them as fresh! They’re listed this week. Over the past 2 months I also halved and dehydrated thousands of cherry tomatoes to use the same way, and in Beaverfork Blend. So many great items listed this week.

Lavender Loaves is back! Kellogg Valley Farms has listed Butternut Squash, Purple Hull Peas and Turnip Greens.

A note from Crimmins Family Farm:
Although we haven’t yet started listing on line yet, we wanted to give our great supporters an update about our fall plantings. Over the weekend, we transplanted over 1000 lettuce, 850+ kale (3 varieties), plus choi’s, tatsoi/spinaches, arugula, mizuna, radicchio, sorrels, plus direct seeded thousands of feet of beets, radishes, turnips, greens, and snow peas. We hope to back on line soon and are looking forward to a great fall season. Thanks to all of you for supporting our family farm.

Opening Bell: New Grower: Wylde Abandon Farm


Good afternoon,
I’m pleased to announce a new Grower, from right here in Conway: Bobby Burrows at Wylde Abandon Farm. Take a look at his listed items and you will find black cherry tomatoes, jalapenos, squash and zucchini right now. Over the next couple of weeks he will have broccoli, radishes, several types of slicing tomatoes, hot peppers, acorn squash, butternut squash, and lettuce. Beyond that he will have cauliflower, carrots, kale, cabbage, spinach, cucumbers, and pumpkins. When I visited his place recently, I was impressed with how he has transformed raw meadow-land into neatly arranged raised beds. His operation is small now, but he has the vision to expand every year. All his items are grown organically!

Geek Eats is back with fresh hummus and granola!

Kombucha! Make your own. Check it out!

Shiitake Mushrooms are available for ordering now, and we anticipate having them delivered weekly from Kingston, AR.

Shiitake Mushrooms! We anticipate having those wonderful Shiitake Mushrooms from Sweden Creek Farms on the Extras table again this Friday. They will be listed for ordering once we get the logistics worked out consistently. 8 ounces for only $5.25. Come early to be sure to get some!

Honey! If all goes well, we will have a new honey producer this week. He maintains over 200 hives in central Arkansas. Pure, strained honey: $8 a pint.

COFFEE! Stock up on your favorite fresh-roasted coffee from RoZark Hills Coffee Roasterie.

Lots of delicious APPLES and PEACHES are listed, in small and bulk quantities. Great for school lunches!
