Opening Bell: Corn, Squash, Bacon, Tomatoes...
Good afternoon,
Cantaloupe, sweet corn, squash, bacon, tomatoes… Summertime in Arkansas is awesome with so much local goodness being produced right here! For easy and fast corn on the cob, microwave each un-shucked ear for 2 minutes. Then wrap it in a dishtowel for 2 minutes. Perfectly steamed every time. Carefully remove the husk. The silk just about falls off. And you don’t have to heat up your kitchen with a big pot of boiling water! A little butter and Beaverfork Blend and you’re set!

Yes, we will have a 4th of July market! Thanks to all the growers who are taking time on this holiday to deliver their delicious food!
New this week: Crimmins family farm will have lots of tomatoes (plus some lettuce, cabbage, celery, etc.) They have regular slicing tomatoes, Juliet paste tomatoes, Sungold cherry tomatoes, and green tomatoes for breading and frying up! Lots of good food for the coming week.
