Good afternoon,
Cold nights coming this weekend. Warm up with some hearty stew or some purple hull peas, with or without a ham hock. Only 2 markets left before Thanksgiving. Start making your Thanksgiving menu now and stock up.

We will be doing a Christmas Open House at our farm on November 29 from 10-2. We will have the goats to be seen, a fire in the fire pit with s’mores. Also it’s a great opportunity for Christmas Shopping. The farm is at 4 Cheyenne Trail, Sherwood 72120.

This will be the last week for Kieffer pears.

Well, Friday night was pretty cold, but we knew it had to come sometime. Much of our growing area had temps below 30 degrees, which means no more tender crops. But several of our growers use season extenders, like row covers and high hoops, so all is not lost. Start making your Thanksgiving menu now and stock up. Only 3 markets in November. Opening Bell: Summer & Winter Squash, Apples, Green Tomatoes...

It’s amazing that we still have growers producing summer squash at the end of October! Great job! And I saw some nice turnips and beets on the EXTRAS table on Friday. From Cedar Rock Ridge: With winter approaching, it’s time to think about next year’s garden. If you plan to have tomatoes, peppers, or anything that requires pollinators, then you’ll want to have Korean Hyssop in your garden. It’s a perennial that grows 3-4 feet tall and produces dozens of blue/purple flower spikes which draws hundreds of bees everyday during summer. I’ve only got 20 left at $2.25 each. Comes back every spring!

Tuesday Reminder - Market Closes Tonight & Urban Farm Fest Invitation
Hello Friends,

Faulkner County Urban Farm Project is having their 4th annual Urban Farm Fest on Saturday, October 25 from 11:00am until 2:00pm at the garden behind the public library on Tyler Street. A community potluck, featuring food from ZAZA Fine Salad & Wood-Oven Pizza Co. and dishes made from garden ingredients, will be served at 11:00am. Be green by bringing your own utensils. Two garden demonstrations will follow at noon. There will also be live music, kids’ activities and door prizes. This event is free and open to the public.

Opening Bell: Squash, Coffee, Apples, Green Beans...
Good afternoon,
We’ve had lots of rain, and now abundant sunshine, so many crops are producing nicely. Housekeeping note: Our market DOES NOT CLOSE during the winter months! We are usually open 50 weeks a year. This year we will be CLOSED the Friday after Thanksgiving (Nov 28) and CLOSED the Friday after Christmas (Dec 26). Be sure to tell all your friends about the ONLY market in Conway that’s open year-round. Thanks, and have a great week!
From ABC Nature Greenhouse & Herb Farm:
We will be turning in our plant board license so will no longer have hardy woody plants. This is the last week to order the following: Blueberry bush $7, Blackberry bush $7, Pomegranate bush $25, Hardy kiwi vine (male & female) $35, and goji berry vine $10.
