In accordance with the current guidelines, we will not have more than 10 people in the lobby at any time. We have four volunteers who can bring your order to your car if you prefer, just call or text 501-339-1039.

Opening Bell: Wickles, Squash, Jam, Honey!

Good afternoon!
Wickles will be available in the extra table refrigerator this Friday at pick up. Several folks have been asking when I would make some more, so Friday after market I picked up some freshly picked cucumbers from Strack Farm on Lower Ridge Road and made 14 pints on Saturday morning. Come early before they’re all gone. They’ll be the star of your next grill-out. Eat them all up and bring the jars back please :-).
Julie’s Sweet Shoppe is taking a week of vacation but will be back next week with their wonderful products!

Heirloom beans from Bradford Valley Farm.

LouJane at Rockwood Crafts has been sewing hundreds of masks to keep your loved ones safe during this global health crisis. They are cloth with elastic and wonderful fabric designs. Keep a couple in your cars so you are never without one.

It looks like Sweden Creek will not be having any shiitake mushrooms for the foreseeable future. I am looking for another local shiitake producer but it may take time. In the meantime, try some of the other varieties listed by Wye Mountain mushroom farm. I’ve heard the lions mane and oyster mushrooms are excellent!

We have volunteers who can bring your order to your car if you prefer, just call or text 501-339-1039. Tell me your name, where you are parked and what kind of car you are in. Open your trunk for contactless delivery.

If you ordered plants, please bring a box to carry them home in.

We’ve been enjoying some nice weather lately, and the gardens are really producing! This is the time of year where you can put back some of the season’s bounty to enjoy the rest of the year. We made 18 jars of delicious peach jam this morning in just a few hours. Check out the chicken and pork listings, and get it while you can. Eat local!

Opening Bell: Garlic, Shiitakes, Squash, Honey!

Good afternoon!
Lots of excellent local food available this week. Shiitakes are back! We still have some freshly cured garlic and elephant garlic, along with a full assortment of coffee. And chicken from Bradford Valley Farm! They also offer ground up chicken frames for pet food your dog will love! Cucumbers are coming in strong so you might consider making some pickles.

Congratulations to Sandra, Shawn and Izzy. Baby Emilia arrived after market on Friday!

Ratchford Farms has a limited amount of beef listed. Due to processing limitations, this may be all that’s available for 4 weeks. Stock up!

Opening Bell: Salad Mix, Potatoes, Squash, Honey!

Good afternoon!
How about that extras table Friday! It’s not even officially summer yet, and we already have squash, zucchini, garlic and cucumbers. Each week will see new items available to order online and on the extra table. Like many other places, we have been experiencing a meat shortage. Pork has been added, and chicken options should be available very soon. Ratchford Farm has some beef listed. They are working hard to provide top quality meat during this difficult time.

New Grower! We are pleased to announce that Shaky K Farm has been added as a grower for our market. Read about them under the tab: our growers. They are a family farm in Bee Branch, just up the road. Billianne and her crew have earned a great reputation in the area for producing nutritious food the natural way. The first item they are offering is whole chickens!

If you are like me, and one could only hope they are, your garden is a special place of peace and refuge, where your senses are treated to the best of Nature. Our eyes see the colorful flowers and intricate plants. With our ears, we hear the wind chimes and leaves rustling. But what of the nose? We bend in to smell flowers to enjoy their sweet aroma, but what if there was a way for larger areas of your garden to emit a scent that would
set your mind at ease and lift the soul? Good news! Holy basil is a vigorous annual that has a very soothing aura carried easily on a slight breeze. You can experience it yourself to fully understand what it adds to a garden. Plants now available.

Wickles! CLG Pickup TODAY 3:30-6pm. Bring eggshells, glass jars, & egg cartons please.

Good morning,
We will have 12 jars of bread & butter pickles, and 12 jars of spicy dill pickles (wickles) in the fridge today. These are refrigerator pickles so keep them in your fridge and they’ll stay crunchy. There will also be some cucumbers, garlic, and dill on the extras table if you want to make your own pickles.
