This is a Bhut Jolokia (ghost pepper) that takes on a peach color. These are very hot peppers - a little sliver goes a long way! This was our favorite super hot that we grew last season - can't wait to do it again!

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Rosie, our mascot, our beautiful, one-legged, one-winged hen. In her memory, we will be keeping her line of small and bantie eggs available. Rosie, you were one heck of a chicken, and we miss you. Rest in peace. Nathaniel, owner and operator of Funny Farm, is proud to introduce for the first time on site, ROSIE, our mascot Hen! Rosie, a bantie, was found in a mud hole inside the chicken coop, looking dead; but she gave a little squawk when touched. So, Nathaniel picked her up, gave her a warm bath, and put her by herself with a space heater nearby, to see if she would recover. She did, but to our astonishment, was missing one leg and one wing! Since there were raccoon tracks all over the place, we assumed one had managed to grab her through the space between the door and doorframe, but she managed to escape and fell in the mud. The mud probably saved her from bleeding to death. Anyway, she became Nathaniel's pet and a fixture of the farm. In gratitude, she started laying these cute, little eggs. So, Rosie's Small and Bantie Eggs was born and has been sold off the Extras Table. But, now, with the presence of over 30 chicks just starting to lay, the number of cartons has suddenly grown. These eggs are small but delicious; and Rosie insists that they be sold at a decent price. Enjoy! Note: Rosie's Eggs do contain eggs from Bantie Hens and Pullets and from young Ducks.
