Cold hardy and strikingly beautiful, Lupines are native spring to early summer bloomers. Lupine will make a wonderful addition to your garden border or cut-flower bed. As a member of the pea family, Lupines have pea-like flowers that grow along large, erect stems in colors from purple, yellow, pink and white. The foliage is beautiful in itself, with star-shaped leaves that are covered in silvery hairs that repel water. Grown best in full sun to part shade, Lupines require well-drained, slightly acidic, fertile to moderately fertile soil. Lupines will not tolerate heavy clay soils due to the fact that they grow long tap roots. They are a short-lived perennial but will self seed if so desired.

As with all my products, an old fashioned recipe with a slight twist. Made with jalapeño and colored bell peppers, it's a slightly spicy sweet jelly favored over cream cheese with crackers. HOWEVER, many of my customers buy to use as a lovely brush marinade over meat such as shrimp on the grill, pork loin in the crock pot, or meat loaf. Also good as a healthy substitute in the wok with broccoli and beef! I don't use dyes, and try to purchase chemic free peppers when possible. Cranberry juice is the sweet flavor!

Marigolds are a natural pest deterrent and pollinator attractor. Large, bright orange and yellow, 2 to 2-1/2 inch blooms. A top choice year after year. Blooms appear early and in abundance. Excellent for pots and garden performance. Height: 8-10" Birh the blooms and the plant keep their neat shape despite hot weather--this dwarf reaches just 8 inches high, with an exceptionally uniform habit. Brand new! I purchased the mayhaws from Norphlet, AR. Mayhaws are a wild fruit that grow on the banks of rivers and streams in southern AR, northern LA, and eastern TX. Because they're wild, there are no chemical sprays on them, and they're harvested by placing sheets under the bushes and shaking the fruit free. There are mayhaw festivals in El Dorado and northern Louisiana every year. When cooked down (twice), the juice has a slight rosy hue, and the flavor is a tart/sweet combination. It's been so popular that I haven't been able to keep up with production of it to post it on CLG until this week!
