Our livestock not only have plenty of pasture and spring water to keep them healthy, we never brand or use cattle prods on our animals. Not only is that the ethical way to raise beef, it also results in a higher quality cuts of meat. Taste the difference when you try our brisket! Smoke it or put it on the grill...or simply cook it in the oven (Marinate with your choice of seasonings overnight. In the morning, drain the marinade and sprinkle the brisket with worcestershire sauce. Wrap in foil and bake at 250F for 6 hours. Unwrap brisket, pour a bottle of your favorite bar-b-que sauce on top and return to the oven for an hour.)

They live a stress-free life and we never use a cattle prod on them. Native American Indian wisdom tells us that we are to treat God's animals with respect, and we take that part of our job seriously. That may mean doing things the hard way, but we think that our ethically raised beef is a higher quality product because of the extra TLC we give our livestock. And because they're naturally raised, they give us cuts of beef that are lower in total fat, higher in vitamins and minerals, and loaded with Omega-3 fatty acids.

Over the years Maria has come to know what people like and, though Maria makes a mild Chow-Chow made with red Bell peppers, she has managed to come up with a recipe so tasty it is closely guarded. It is not so much 'what' you put into making Chow-Chow, but getting the quantities right, and I mean 'right'. Anyone can make Chow-Chow, but not anyone can get it to taste fantastic. Chow-Chow goes with hot-dogs, burgers, peas and greens. Maria 'KNOWS' when the taste is right, and you will know, too. No more will you need to shop at WalMart and suffer the cancer causing chemicals, colorings, flavorings and preservatives needed to keep a canned jar on the shelf for months at a time. Our canned jars will last years (unopened of course). We put into the same carton the jumbo-sized eggs from the white Peking ducks and smaller eggs from black-and-white, crested, mallards, and other assorted ducks.

PLEASE READ. from ISA brown ,tetra brown shaver whites and tetra Blanko hens free range non GMO fed hens. Happy hens we no longer use bagged feed. We have our feed milled using our own formula . We've added much more vitamins and minerals to our formula. We have also cut out the filler you get in bagged feeds. If a hen doesn't have vitamins and minerals in her diet she will suffer health wise and lay eggs that are less healthy for you. It only cost a little more to go first class. We like healthy long lived sassy hens.

We have a variety of different chicken breeds that are living their best life on our small farm! Our birds get to roam a 3 acre area where they can eat as many bugs as they can find. We supplement their diet with antibiotic-free grain and feed, and they also get goodies from the garden. Happy chickens lay delicious eggs! We get a mix of white, brown, speckled, blue, and olive green eggs which we collect daily.
