These peas were grown for the school cafeterias in our area by Healthy Flavors AR. Our mission / purpose is to educate students about health and nutrition and make a dent in childhood obesity, diabetes and other nutrition related chronic diseases. We are aiming to do this on scale, and to shell, clean, sort and package these peas according to modern Good Agricultural Practices (GAP) standards. For this, we built a a processing facility in the Lollie Bottoms west of Conway in 2022. Your purchase of these peas here at Conway Locally Grown supports us in these efforts! This 1 pound bag will provide for a dish made of peas, maybe two or three dishes depending on portions and portion sizes. Any leftovers can be divided stored in the freezer for future use for up to one year. These peas were grown in the Lollie Bottoms west of Conway, pesticide free!
