Our livestock not only have plenty of pasture and spring water to keep them healthy, we never brand or use cattle prods on our animals. Not only is that the ethical way to raise beef, it also results in a higher quality cuts of meat. Taste the difference when you try our brisket! Smoke it or put it on the grill...or simply cook it in the oven (Marinate with your choice of seasonings overnight. In the morning, drain the marinade and sprinkle the brisket with worcestershire sauce. Wrap in foil and bake at 250F for 6 hours. Unwrap brisket, pour a bottle of your favorite bar-b-que sauce on top and return to the oven for an hour.)

While we're usually a little humorous in our descriptions (or we attempt to be) here's the unfunny truth: our animals drink clear-running spring water, roam leisurely on our farm, eat grass and are not subjected to the typical steroids, antibiotics and hormones typical of beef bought in the grocery store. They live a stress-free life and we never use a cattle prod on them. Native American Indian wisdom tells us that we are to treat God's animals with respect, and we take that part of our job seriously. That may mean doing things the hard way, but we think that our ethically raised beef is a higher quality product because of the extra TLC we give our livestock. And because they're naturally raised, they give us cuts of beef that are lower in total fat, higher in vitamins and minerals, and loaded with Omega-3 fatty acids.
